Having met Benny halfway through my diploma year was a godsend to me. After a year of constant guidance, my results skyrocketed from a 5 to a high level 7 in my final exams. I firmly believe that had I not met Benny at the start of my IBDP journey, I would not have achieved the same level of success in my exams that I had with his help. From struggling around the 5-6 level in MYP math to almost enjoying the complexity of the IB curriculum (and receiving my first 7 in math), Benny’s intense familiarity with our school syllabus down to the specific subtopics and his digestible explanations have made learning much more instinctive and long-lasting.
Some of the most memorable features of Leading Edge from my time there was Benny’s eagerness to help with a tricky math question at all times – he is always one WhatsApp text away even outside of class time and responds instantaneously, which I really appreciate and try not to exploit. Furthermore, the variety of workbook exercises that he produces, ranging from IB past papers to Oxford, Pearson & Haese textbook exercises to self-written test papers, provide a rich source of learning for all of us, and are also testaments to his devotion to teaching.
